Guangzhou Asian Games Swimming Venue

The venues for the Guangzhou Asian Games includeOlympic Sports Center, Guangzhou Gymnasium, GuangzhouNanshaSports Center, Swimming and Diving Hall, Tennis Center, Wushu and Dance Hall, Flag Raising Square (Asian Games City),Athletes Village, Media Village (Asian Games City) and several other venues.

Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games' "Water Cube" —Olympic Swimming and Diving Hallhas entered the preliminary design stage, construction will begin in the first half of 2009:White and blueinterlaced swimming hall resembles a double helix DNA, the Asian Games "Water Cube"_ Swimming and Diving Hall resembles a double helix DNA, reflecting the Olympic pillars amidst the green trees and the lake's reflection.

The 16th Asian Games in 2010 will be held in Guangzhou, with plans for theGuangdongOlympic Swimming and Diving Hall to become one of the main competition venues for swimming and diving events, where swimming competitions, diving training, andmodern pentathlonswimming competitions will take place, and the hall will also be used to establish the IOC/OCA International Training Center and the National Southern Training Base, to meet the requirements of thenational teamfor winter training and major events after the Asian Games.
