Qingyuan Aoxiu Center (Provincial Sports Games Venue)

The Qingyuan Olympic Sports Center swimming pool and gymnasium began construction in September 2019 and served as the competition venue for the 16th Guangdong Provincial Games in 2022, with a steel structure volume of approximately 6,000 tons. The Qingyuan Olympic Sports Center venue project is a key project for both Qingyuan City and Guangdong Province, characterized by a large volume of work, tight construction schedule, and high construction difficulty.

In March 2022, the Qingyuan Olympic Sports Center project passed the joint acceptance inspection, marking that the preparations for the 16th Guangdong Provincial Games entered the final critical stage.

The Qingyuan Olympic Center mainly includes a stadium (30,000 seats), a gymnasium (9,000 seats), and a swimming pool (2,000 seats).

The center was planned and constructed to host the 16th Guangdong Provincial Games in 2022 and to further improve urban functions, promote national fitness, and develop sports.
