How to choose tiles for the school swimming pool?
1. Function positioning of university swimming pools
First, let's talk about the function positioning of university swimming pools. They serve as venues for swimming training and examinations for university students, as well as training locations for athletes.Therefore, the construction of swimming pools is generally designed and built according to the standards of adult swimming pools. The construction of adult swimming pools refers to the relevant regulations in the "Swimming Competition Rules" approved by the Chinese Swimming Association and the relevant standards in the "Technical Regulations for Water Supply and Drainage Engineering of Swimming Pools" published by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of China to determine the specifications of swimming pools. According to the design standards for standard swimming pools, the specifications of the swimming pool are 50*25 meters, with an allowable error of +0.030 meters and -0.000 meters, and a minimum depth of 2 meters, as shown in Figure 1.Minimum 2 meters, as shown in Figure 1.

2Swimming pool parts are made of bricks.
(1) Pool edge: The edge handrail bricks (Figure 2) at the pool edge,

are installed on the long wall of the swimming pool. The unique groove design facilitates athletes using the handrail at the pool edge, combined with 244*119 specification anti-slip bricks (Figure 3). The edge area has a 15° slope with the horizontal line, and the bricks used in this area must provide good anti-slip performance. The super strong anti-slip property of the anti-slip bricks is designed for this purpose.(Figure 3)
(2) Pool bottom: The pool bottom is paved with light blue or white main bricks, and the lane lines are paved with dark blue bricks (Figure 4). Short pool walls: The pool walls above 0.8 meters from the water surface must be anti-slip, using rough surface bricks. The rough surface bricks are specially designed to meet German anti-slip standards, allowing athletes to have anti-slip effects when turning and pushing off in this area (Figure 5).

(Figure 5)(3) Rest platform: Also known as a resting platform, located at least 1.2 meters below the water surface, with a width of 0.1 to 0.15 meters. It can be protruding or recessed, facilitating athletes to rest at the poolside. This area is paved with specially made edge anti-slip bricks (Figure 5/6).

(4) Starting platform: Also known as a diving platform, using 244*199 specification anti-slip bricks (Figure 6).
(5) Drainage channel: Drainage channel bricks. Standard swimming pools generally come with overflow channels or drainage channels. The drainage channel is equipped with drainage channel bricks to facilitate water flow guidance and cleaning maintenance, preventing mosquito breeding (Figure 7/8).(Figure 7)

(6) Drainage channel grating: Overflow uses ABS grating with good load-bearing capacity and long service life (Figure 9).(Figure 9)(7) Paving auxiliary materials: Swimming pool special tile adhesive and swimming pool special grout. Unlike ordinary tile adhesives and cement mortar, they are made with a special formula, providing stronger bonding performance than general adhesives, suitable for long-term underwater use, avoiding hollow bricks and preventing pool water from becoming alkaline.
Pool edge walkwaySwimming pool special anti-slip bricks (Figure 11): For the materials used in the pool walkway area, it is not recommended to use ordinary floor tiles or other non-anti-slip flooring materials. It is recommended to use swimming pool special anti-slip bricks to increase the safety factor for pedestrians.

Shower room
The shower room floor can be paved with special anti-slip bricks or ceramic tiles with anti-slip properties (Figure 12/13).Special anti-slip bricks (Figure 12)
